You say potato, I say ouch

The garden is getting to the end of the season but we are still getting some veggies.
One of the potatoes. WARNING - Next entry not for the queasy.

Beware of the potato peeler. Dr. D peeled off a good chunk of the top of his ring finger. OUCH!!

Miss S still enjoys being in the water at swim lessons.

Playing in a tunnel at a kid's play area.

Enjoying getting her first fortune out of the cookie.

Out for a walk with daddy at the lower end of the property.

Miss S really does not like it when one of us goes upstairs.

So she tries to get over the gate anyway possible. She has only gotten her leg stuck once.

She had a great time visiting with Grandma I.

Dr. D took a tour of areas in N. CA for work. Here is Burney Falls.

and Mt. Shasta.

Back at home... Miss S enjoyed running with Kylie.

We looked at some of the flowers in the garden.

Miss S also helped with some of the raking.

When Smoke Gets in Your Eyes...

and just about everywhere else. We have been feeling the effects of the moonlight fires as have many others. This is a shot from our deck of what looks like fog but is actually smoke.

Miss S is feeling much better now after suffering from a 100+ degree fever for over 3 days last week. Here is proof. She found the dog's bowl and decided to cool off.

Miss S relaxing with Grandpa.
Dr. D and his weaving assistant finished off an open work willow basket.

Dr. D and his buddy his Alex were able to catch some waves.

Meanwhile mommy, Miss S and Carley enjoyed playing on the beach...
for quite a while. As you can see, these two did not come in until it was dark.

We went to a birthday party and were able to see our nieces. Here is one of the cuties.

Miss S went for a swim.

Then it was off to Pier 39.

We met up with a few friends and had a visit with Jason and Irene (far left), who are embarking on a year trip around the world.
