Let the Fun of Summer Begin

Quite the hiatus from pics on the blog site - due to summer of travels and going back to work at a new school site. Here are some to start with, more to come. We started off the summer with lots of trips to visit family throughout the state.

Miss A had fun with grandpa.

We were able to celebrate Gail's 40th with her.

We traveled to Southern CA and stayed a week with Auntie Meagan and Uncle John. Miss S loves holding her little sister - although Miss A is never really all that sure about it.

We got to meet Snoopy at Knott's Berry Farm.

Miss A had fun hanging out with grandma and watching her big sister go on rides.

The Mexican hat ride - a love of fast spinning rides that these two share.

Absolutely loving it.

What trip to Knott's is complete unless you take pictures with these guys.

HUFF and PUFF!!! I remember these from when I was kid.

All geared up and ready to go.

We are so glad we were able to visit with Auntie Di and that she was able to meet Avery. She was loved and will be greatly missed.

Don with his great Aunt Diane. We were always happy to see her smiling face.

Got a nice brunch and trip to the Long Beach Aquarium in with Ann.

Miss A and Ann enjoying the beautiful day.

Had a great time at the ray pool.

Got a quick visit in with my cousin Bill and his family. This picture cracks me up because the more little ones you try to get in the picture, the harder it gets to take one.

Dr. D making margaritas and Sydney helping with plate set up for John and Meagan's housewarming.

Miss S loved the swingset.

Miss A got to meet her great grandma and great Auntie Carol for the first time.

All smiles with great grandma.

Miss S lounging around with her auntie and uncle.

Bondie - one of Sydney's favorites.

One our way home spotted this toad in our driveway. Miss S really wanted us to catch it for her.

All the wildlife were active - Dr. D found a whipsnake. We love these because rattlesnake don't like them.
Miss A started eating more solid type foods.

Miss S with her friend from Ballet. They did the Mexican hat dance for their performance.

Miss S on stage, she is the second one from the left.

The day before heading out to Australia, we took a hike to celebrate grandpa's birthday on Angel Island. We wanted to make sure the girls were nice and tired for the flight. Miss A and mom on the ferry to the Island.

Big Mouth and yes there is the sound to match it. Stay posted for the rest of summer pics.

May Days

We have been out and about enjoying the spring weather.
We took a trip to Monterey. Miss S had a great time at the aquarium checking out the exhibits.

She loved this setup because of all of the tropical fish.

Dr. D went out for a few dives and saw all sorts of things including cabezon, jellyfish, lingcod and nudibranchs.

Miss S loved playing on the rocks near the ocean.

Miss A is very busy crawling around. She is just drawn to cords and door stoppers, so needless to say we are on constant watch.

We went to the fair and the girls had a great time seeing all of the animals.

Have you ever seen a pregnant hummingbird? Well now you have. She was frequenting our feeders.

Miss A loves her veggies. She is getting ready for a some yummy squash.

Kylie provides hours of entertainment. Miss A enjoyed watching her destroy a dog toy. Amazing that Kylie never touches any of the baby toys.

Miss A got to dip her feet in the ocean for the first time and loved it.

All the cousins.

Happy Mother's Day!
