Surprise

Mama L traveled to a surprise shower for her soon to be sister in law.

The surprised Meagan with her aunt and mom.
Here we are with the bride to be.

I never thought I'd see the day that my mom played video games. She officially has her own wii persona now.
Playing baseball against my brother the pitcher.

I also got to meet my cousin's baby, Liam. Too cute.

These are all pictures from the last few weeks. After about nine months, the kitchen project is complete. Remember back in January when our upstairs shower became a waterfall in the kitchen. The plumber had proceeded to cut large holes throughout the ceiling to find the leak. We got the final step of a light fixture in.
My little helper. There is usually a monkey around my neck while I am sewing.

The garden is producing lots of yummy veggies. There are also lots of good insects out there, include many preying mantids.

We harvested our first small pumpkin.
When the weather gets cooler, it definitely motivates us a bit.

Miss S had a wonderful time at the playground.

All was good until she fell and scraped her knee. She was so glad that Uncle George was there to get her a wet cool napkin and give lots of sympathy.

Fun Filled Weekend

We attended Casey's wedding.

It was a night out for mom and dad, while Miss S played with her cousins.

Here is just some of the fun she had while her big cousin pushed her on the swings.

She wasn't sure if she was ready to tackle the climbing wall.

She was definitely ready to blow some bubbles.

She enjoyed playing in the pool too.

It is always nice to get out of the pool into a nice soft towel and a warm hug.

Take Me Out To The Ball Game

We had a good labor day weekend, aside from the 20 yellowjackets stings sustained between the dog, mom and Miss S. The dog only had three and she was the one who disturbed the nest. Fortunately, no huge reactions just extremely painful at the time.

Miss S and her cool hat she was given at the local minor league baseball game.

We had a great view behind homeplate.

Things have been good here around the house. Lots of animals out and about. Including the bear that got our bird feeder. We lose about one a year to a bear.

Lots of goodies in the garden. Cucumbers..

and watermelons.

Gotta love the hair. It is definitely a lion's mane. Here it is after her nap with some jumping around.

The weather has been perfect for early evening walks or rides in the wagon.

Miss S very relaxed while on a walk.
