Snow Day

It snowed all night.

We woke up to this beautiful scene. Along with no power or phone service (All restored now).

And then we saw the road to work...so we took a snow day. Appropriate timing because Dr. D had lost his voice (due to cold or flu) and Miss S had a cough. So we enjoyed the day at home. Apparently this amount of snow is somewhat rare here. A typical winter only gets a few inches at a time.

Here is Miss S and Dr. D in the garden. We are in the middle of a garden restoration (expanding and replacing fencing).

We had some much needed help from Grandma and Grandpa H. Here is just one of the many piles of dead brush we worked on clearing.

Happy Birthdays

It was a birthday weekend. We celebrated Miss S' first birthday, Grandma H's and Dr. D's birthdays. We also received 16 inches of rain over a 4 day period.

Fun in February

We have been having lots of fun around the house and on the road.
Miss S has discovered the soil in the pots. This is one of her favorite games. She moves as fast as she can to get to the plants and grabs a handful of soil before we can get to her. She thinks it is so funny. Dr. D is busy building houses for the spring time.
