February Celebrations

Finally getting around to posting a few pictures from the month. The dial up is getting more and more frustrating. We had a month of celebrations, good visits and lots of changes in weather.

Dr. D started out the month with his big saw, cutting some samples for his classes.

We celebrated three birthdays in row - Miss S, Dr. D and Kipp.

We had a good amount of snow this month and now we are getting a good amount of rain.

We met Dr. D before his night class for a birthday dinner for Miss S.

Miss S loved her birthday present from mommy and daddy.

Ahhh! A nice refreshing drink of water.

This red tailed hawk was an unusual site. It was very close to us and eating worms in a heavy traffic area next to the dorms.Cake again. Miss S got a special cake with grandma and grandpa.

These three celebrated their birthday weekend at a house on the coast in Santa Cruz. A special 60th birthday for grandma.

This would be hard to wake up to each morning. No, I guess it wouldn't.

Miss S had fun opening presents.

Here is a present she enjoyed with her cousins. They had a great time in the "Great Outdoors" sitting around the campfire.

Making crafts at the Monarch Festival at Natural Bridges in Santa Cruz. Unfortunately, many monarchs had already left due to warmer weather earlier in the month.

Dr. D couldn't pass up this license plate.

Miss S, now three, is almost the size of a full grown salmon.

At the Santa Cruz boardwalk, Miss S was trying to get the hang of skeeball. She prefers to toss the balls overhanded.

We attended my mentor teacher's (Lucinda) 70th birthday party. It was great to see her and celebrate such a wonderful occasion.

Jose, a friend from junior high and high school, that I have not seen in about 15 years, made it up to F.R. It was great to see him after so many years and hear about all the wonderful things he has been up to. Looking forward to our next visit.
