Getting Ready for Summer

We are already gearing up for summer. Dr. D has just finished another teaching year. Miss S and some of her friends that she gets to see each week.

Getting ready to go out for a ride with daddy.

I thought the message was great on the back of the truck. I wish I would have thought of that when I was learning how to drive stick.

Hippity hoppity. A cute baby jackrabbit the dogs found. They just sniffed him out. We put him in a box for the day and back where we found him in the evening. Jackrabbits split up their babies and hide them during the day. The parents feed them in the morning and the evening. We saw the mama come back later that night.

Miss S loved the little rabbit.

Miss S and her impeccable fashion sense.

At a party at Dr. D's coworkers. Miss S got some pretty necklaces.

She also learned to play the trombone.

We spent memorial day weekend camping. We had rain the first day and some cold temperatures.

Here we are next to fire, keeping warm.

Havin' a chat and looking at the lake.

The next day was warm and sunny. Miss S loved being in the boat on the lake.

A family picture on a beautiful day.

All Eyes on You

Here's looking at you...
Miss S' Mr. Potato Head creation.

Check this out...

someone learned how to open the front door. We knew it was coming but we practically had to dismantle the entire door to get the childproof locking mechanism put on it.

Look who we found under a rock.

Miss S helping with some plantings in the garden

and also helping to refill and hang up the bird feeders.

We had a nice Mother's Day at home enjoying the beautiful weather.

Miss S checking out a caterpillar. There are tons of them just falling out of the trees everywhere, so there should be quite a few butterflies soon.

Speaking of caterpillars...Miss S loves to be wrapped up and carried around in a cocoon after her baths. She asks for a "cocoonie".

Here is Miss S' face of the day... Arrrgh!

Here she is later the same day, different outfit but same face in every picture we took.

Fortunately, he had a great group of volunteers from our community that helped out too.
